It has 2 ratios:
Use the 6:1 ratio to card.
Use the 4:1 ratio to blend.Can adjust teeth distance for total control. All nylon bearings ensure it is light and easy to turn.
The card cloth has wire teeth with a special protective coating and a flexible rubber backing for long life. I bought this drum carder because of these thin teeth. It is the closest thing on the market to Pat Green’s drum carder teeth.

FS Ashford Joy DT
For sale Ashford Joy double threadle beautiful condition. Have not been utilized mush or spun out of home. Used my hopper most of the time as I spin in large quantities. I am also including 1.11 superwash Merino undyed fiber. Comes with 7 bobbins. This has the sliding hook flyer instead of the hooked flyer. Runs smooth and threadle quietly. Drive band will need replacement soon, so I will include a generic drive band as well. Will need to be burned to lengthen joined. There’s a video on this which is easy least. FS: Ashford Traditional
Hi. I have a nice Ashford Traditional for sale. I have had it for a bit, and have replaced the foot pedal as it was missing when I got it. It has a nice lazy kate, and 3 bobbins. This is the single drive model, and was made in the 70’s I think. It spins really nice and the drive wheel is nice and true. I just have more bills than wheels right now. I am happy to ship this wheel. I think I can take it apart quite a bit so shipping should be on the lower end depending on where you are located in the US.

My Fancy kitty Kitten drumcarder is in need of a new home--I’ve had it 3.5 years and have only used it twice. It’s in perfect condition and works beautifully but I’ve realized I have neither the time nor space for it…maybe when I retire or go into fiber processing business.

FS: Louet Junior Drum Carder
Selling my gently used Louet Junior Drum Carder with doffer, clamps, and original box. 72 teeth per inch. Teeth are in excellent condition and are especially long, which means they hold a lot of fiber. You can make a good size batt for such a compact and portable carder! This can handle really textured art batts with loads of add-ins as well as finer fibers. The only reason I’m parting with it is because I have a full-size Louet and can’t justify keeping both.

FS: Ashford Traveller, Chair, Lazy Kate
This is an example of the early redesign of the Traveller following the so-called Mark 1. This wheel has the MOA at the left, but the drive wheel’s spokes are the same as the Mark 1 Traveller. This indicates it was most likely produced in 1980.
I would love to continue being owned by this wheel as it’s a real gem, but it isn’t getting any attention now that I have a DT DD Traveller in my life, and it deserves to be attended to.
When I got the wheel and chair, they were covered in similar shades of terrible “stain” and streaky yellowed polyurethane, which I carefully and lovingly removed. The wheel seems to have been only sporadically used, but I replaced just about everything during rehab anyway. New bearings, footman leather, springs, some of the screws, flyer hooks, brake band, and upgraded to the Ashford Turbo Kit poly drive band. I also bought four new bobbins from The Woolery and glued the original bobbins back together. I’ve rubbed in several thin coats of Howard Feed-n-Wax on all the wood and metal as well. The wheel spins very nicely, with no mechanical issues. Best SD I’ve ever worked with!
The Traveller:

Ashford oil in needle bottle
Black velvet bag for oil bottle, etc.

The Ashford Spinning Chair:
Asking $175 OBO. Discontinued style with the heart-shaped hand hold. Lovingly restored to natural beauty, and hand rubbed with several thin coats of Howard Feed-n-Wax. Note in the pictures that there are some dings and scratches. Also, two legs have been darkened by UV more than the others, indicating that this chair sat in the same position for many years. These touches of character don’t detract from the chair’s beauty, in my opinion :)
The Ashford Kate:
Asking $75 OBO. Discontinued style with heart-shaped cutouts. Horizontal type, far superior to the vertical ones that come with the Traditionals. Stability is good :) I’ve replaced the nylon brake band with material from Ashford. I’ve also rubbed in several thin coats of Howard Feed-n-Wax.
