FOR SALE: My non-Ravelry friend is selling her Vern Joslin wheel. She bought it around 1980 directly from Mr Joslin. The wheel is signed on the bottom with the date 1977.
This is a flax wheel, and my friend says that it’s a fast wheel even though the ratios are approximately 8:1. It’s a truly lovely wheel.
The pegged drive wheel is 16” and there is one bobbin. This is typical of a Joslin wheel.
The wheel appears to be made with some mixed woods. My friend says there’s myrtlewood that seems to have been stained dark, and she thinks the flyer is walnut. There’s possibly some maple in it, too.

For Sale Matchless ST In good condition. It is time to thin the herd before moving.
I bought it in 2002. Since I have had it and loved it for years, I have accumulated more bits to go with it. I have the tensioned lazy Kate, 4 regular bobbins, and 2 high speed bobbins. A total of 4 whorls (the Medium and fast that came with it, and the Super High Speed and Exceptionally High Speed (Lace) that I bought later) The original orifice hook is with it, oil bottle, alen wrench, double drive cotton band, carry strap and the instruction booklet that came with it. I will include a new plastic drive band and an assortment of ‘skinny s’ketti’ that makes good drive bands.
$700. I would prefer not to ship, but would be delighted to meet in Southwest Washington State or Northwest Oregon, or deliver to Blacksheep Gathering.

Ashford Joy 2, Double Treadle with Carrying Case. This wheel is almost brand new in terms of use. I bought it, then realized double treadles are not my favorite, so I went hunting and fell in love with Kromskis (as illustrated by my polonaise in the background). It was assembled by the shop I bought it at, and used for a skein of yarn before I realized nope. It comes with the three standard bobbins and carrying case. I don’t want to ship, so I’m looking to do a delivery/pick-up up to an hour and a half from where I live in Jupiter, Fl. I routinely am up in Port St. Lucie as well. Price is $800 for all of it.
