I have a Strauch winder for sale. Winds up to one pound of yarn—it’s great for bulky art yarn and handspun yarn in general. It also does a great job of winding small balls of yarn. More information about this winder on the Strauch website here.

It’s in good working order, I just upgraded to a motorized Nancy’s Knit Knacks winder and don’t need two winders :-)

FS quill spindle for matchless $40

FS: quill spindle attachment for shaucht matchless. I bought this when I used to have a matchless, and since I have since parted with it I have no use for this. Intriguing contraption made by The fyber cafe. Information copied from their website: These spindles are perfect for spinning bulky and loopy art yarns because they wind the yarn directly onto the spindle and bypasses small orifices, hooks and bobbins, without the cost of a bulky flyer and extra large bobbins.  They are much faster for spinning because they hold more yarn than standard bobbins, and they are faster to unload yarn onto a quill holder compared to disassembly of a standard bobbin/flyer assembly.  When your spindle is full, push the yarn cop off the spindle via a straw bridge onto a knitting needle, Lazy Kate dowel, or other similar-diameter holder, and then keep on spinning.  No flyer disassembly needed!  You can spin with it on a standard wheel rather than needing a Great Wheel or Rio Grande spindle wheel, and you can take it with you to classes and spinning groups. 

Watch my YouTube video to learn about the Fast Flip method of yarn wind-on, so that your spinning can be continuous without having to stop to wind on every couple yards as is typical of spinning on Great Wheels and quill spindles.  Since making this video, I now don’t use the straws as quills but as bridges onto holders.

I am selling a Jacob Plum/Hallcraft Saxony spinning wheel.
it has 3 bobbins, a whorl and a lazy kate

It is a sweet little wheel. The drive wheel is 17 ½” and the wheel is 35” tall and 36” long.
It was sold in kit form, much like the Ashford wheels of its time, it was produced in solid, unstained maple, and was unassembled as well.

It comes from a smoke-free home, cats and dog

Clemes & Clemes modern wheel. Single treadle, double drive, includes 4 bobbins. The bobbin capacity is huge! This is a fine general wheel and a superb plying wheel. I don’t have the space for two wheels so I had to choose, but the choice wasn’t easy. I’m asking $350.

I would prefer to to arrange a pick-up as I’ve never shipped anything like this before and am not confident in doing so successfully. I am, however, willing to drive a bit to facilitate the pickup. Santa Barbara area, CA.

I’m no longer using this carder. We have modified it, coiled and stowed electrical cords, adding one. Eliminates two plug in cords. Moved the brush from the front, to the middle so there is more working room on the swift. Added handles to the front and back. Added aluminum angle to the wood edges in front and back to protect the wood from splintering, flicker brush use. Card is in good contition, a few mis aligned teeth and a few scratches on the wood. Asking 1150.00 plus shipping. Fiigure 75.00 for shipping. We will pick up any overage. Mainland US only.

Hi! I have some lovely Merino D’Arles top in two natural shades of brown, processed by John Arbon’s mill in the UK from French wool. I’m just not a merino spinner, and this gorgeous stuff needs a new home that will appreciate it.

I have about 1180 grams of the lighter, cappuccino-colored Driftwood for $40 (will not divide) and about 280 grams of the darker Chestnut for $10. Both have been kept in a cedar chest with lavender in a pet-friendly home (dogs, cats, goats), non-smoking. Prices do not include shipping (US only, cost will be estimated for sale). I have an older set of the Valkyrie Double Row Mini Combs. I’m the second owner. I have only used them maybe 2-3 times. Some of the tines are slightly bent and there are some small rust spots, but as far as I know it doesn’t effect combing.
