Hello,

I am selling my Schacht Matchless double treadle because my Lendrum has become my primary wheel. I purchased it in 2012, spun on it no more than 5 times and never even filled a bobbin on the Matchless. The wheel comes from a non-smoking, one cat household.

The package I’m selling includes the following:
Wheel (serial number DT 120911 6), 4 bobbins (3 unused), Lazy Kate and carrying strap (unused). I’m also including in the package a Schacht adjustable niddy noddy ($79 value) and a Schacht rolling cart ($73 value). The total value of this package is $1,415 but I’m selling everything for $1,000. Paypal, bank check or cash are preferred.

Shipping within the US can also be arranged at the purchaser’s expense (I have the original box), or we can meet in person at a mutually convenient location. I live in western Massachusetts.

SOLD, thank you!

I’m selling these 4 Schacht regular (NOT the high-speed) spinning wheel bobbins, 4 oz capacity, only as a group, for $120 (Paypal only) including Priority shipping/tracking/insurance in the U.S.

Since Feb. 2016, Schacht has switched to a plastic core and is no longer making them with the wood core. These bobbins are all wood, hard maple (except for the nylon bushings). Compatible with Matchless, Ladybug, Flatiron and Sidekick spinning wheels.

New, these bobbins retail for $42. My bobbins are NOT new, they’re used, and 2 of them have been lovingly repaired. I’ve included pictures of the repairs (which do not affect their use). One of the bobbins has a letter R (for ‘regular’) on one end (also pictured).

Hello all!

I am desperately searching for a Wallace Van Eaton spinning wheel for sale. Not only are they gorgeous wheels, I recently learned that Wallace is directly related to my husband’s grandmother. I got his contact info and talked to him on the phone today but he, unfortunately, is not making any more wheels and doesn’t have the tools to do one for me (he is 95 and only retired from making wheels last year!). So, not only would this be something I would love to spin on, it would also be a family heirloom, passed on to my children and a piece of our history. If anyone knows of one for sale or if you are willing to part with yours, please let me know. Take care,

ALL SOLD: mini three bags full washed fleeces. Here are partial fleeces I bought at the New Jersey sheep and wool festival. I just have too much fleece! About 11.5oz of gorgeous variegated grey coopworth 6” staple, about 9.5oz very dark brown Romney 5” staple, and over a pound of pillow-soft light fawn huyaca alpaca. I washed them all carefully with unicorn scour and have made multiple skeins of yarn from each fleece. I need to move this out to make room for more fleece! All were stored in pillow cases inside a cedar chest in a smoke-free yet cat friendly house. Would like to sell the lot for $65 including shipping in the United States.
SOLD as much as I love the look and the feel of these shuttles, they don’t fit my weaving style. The be maple is sold but the blue mahoe beautiful Bosworth for $70 including shipping in the United States.

The Gotland has shiny Black and Grey fibers and with the addition of a bit of our Rambo Top just a bit of elasticity.

The Sliver is a Small sliver so hand spinning a Thicker Yarn will be easy and the Sliver is easy to divide.

I’m selling my gorgeous Saxony style Jensen Ashley DT wheel. This wheel was one of the first of this design made by Jerry Jensen as evidenced by his signature on the wheel. It spins like a dream and is very lightly used. I’ve migrated largely to electric spinning and need to free up some space in my house. I can’t realistically ship this wheel but will travel with it a reasonable distance from Madison, WI to deliver to a committed buyer. I’m asking $1400. This is close to the new price for this wheel. However, given its excellent condition and the fact that it is a unique promo wheel, I feel it is worth the price. In addition, I won’t be charging for shipping! Excellent condition. See the photo for the tpi; it’s not as fine as my fur drum, but is much finer than my standard Patrick Green drum. Price is firm. Especially good with alpaca! Click on the photo to see more pictures.

Doffing stick, drive band, and cleaning brush are included. Just cleaned and oiled and working great.

If you want an estimate for shipping, try 20 lbs, and 23 x 14 x 16”. That was the size of the carton for the last drum carder I shipped. Zip code is 22556. Buyer pays for shipping and any insurance fees.

I will be at MD Sheep and Wool likely on Friday and maybe Saturday. Would also be willing to work with a railroad or perhaps meet you somewhere within a drive of an hour or two.
