FS in US local pu: Small Vintage Woolen Spinning Wheel

Found at a local estate sale. Appears to be a small woolen spindle spinner. Diameter of wheel is about 14”. Overall size is approximately 28” wide by 27” Tall
Being old, it will need some tender loving care to get it spinning again. The wheel turns with the foot pedal, but there is a warp to its turning motion. There are also small holes in the wood. Please see photos.
$150 with local pickup near Steilacoom, WA 98388. I’m located between Tacoma and Olympia.

FS: California Bulky Wheel (Sid Sharples?)

This beautiful wheel is for sale for $600 Canadian. I am located in Ottawa, Ontario.
If you are heading to Ottawa area for Twist or Almonte Fiberfest you could also pick up this lovely wheel to add to your herd of equipment.
The wood is walnut. There are 3 bobbins, one original and 2 more that were made by a local woodworker. Each bobbin holds more than 1 pound.
I believe this wheel to be made by Sid Sharples (born March 19, 1917 - died October 2, 2010), but there is no sticker or label on the wheel. It does have the number 366 impressed in the leg of the wheel.
From the sale listing when I purchased the wheel: “California Bulk Spinning Wheel was made in the 1970s and was made and sold by Lydia Hillier of Weaving-Spinning Supplies in Manhattan Beach, CA I do like the pivoted double action treadle and is large enough to put two feet on. The leather band is rolled not flat so that it moves easily around the groove in the wheel.”
FS - Louet S90 Spinning Wheel

I’m thinning the spinning wheel herd again. Selling my awesome Louet S90 folding spinning wheel. It really is a wonderful wheel, but I’m just not using it enough.
It comes with the following:
4 - standard S90 bobbins
1 - S90 lace bobbin (fat core bobbin)
Art Yarn Flyer specific to the S90
The footman connector was replaced in the Fall so this is practically brand new, and the drive band is in great condition.
It has an onboard lazy kate and skeiner. It really has everything you need right on the wheel. It would be a great beginner wheel because you wouldn’t need to buy a niddy noddy or lazy kate and it’s super easy to use. Otherwise it’s just a great wheel.
I’m asking for $650 and will split shipping cost. I’m located in Redwood City, CA. As for payment Im accepting ApplePay or Venmo.
Thank you!
FS - Bosworth Attaché Charkha
Sadly, I’ve never really learned to use a charkha and have moved on to other types of spinning. It is so beautifully made, I’d like it to go to someone that will use it. Made in Sept 2013, #313 - see additional pictures in stash by clicking on the picture below.

FS: Akerworks lazy kate

For sale: Akerworks lazy kate in cherry
$98 includes shipping in the US (willing to split postage costs for international). Comes with the included tensioners, felt pads, and protective slipcover.
The build quality is excellent. However, I much prefer horizontal or diagonal kates, so I don’t reach for this much. I’d rather this goes to a better home
FS Anything But Lazy Kate by Nancy's Knit Knacks

I have way too many lazy kates in my collection and am selling my gently-used 6 year old Anything But Lazy Kate.
Comes with original instructions for the kate and for the cone adapter kit (which is included). Pix are below. Only one minor flaw that is easily and cheaply fixable: one of the stick-on rubber feet on the bottom has disappeared. I didn’t notice that it was gone, so it didn’t affect the functionality of the device. Bobbin in picture is NOT included. This kate fits all sizes of bobbins and the cone adapter lets you use weaving yarns on cones on the kate (like for corespinning or plying).
$120 includes shipping to continental US. Will ship outside the US but at additional shipping cost.

FS: Alpaca Roving in bulk

I have 13 bags of 100% alpaca roving grown in Montana. Most of the bags are 2 to 3 pounds. It’s clean, some vm, but not much. It spins nicely.
I don’t know the microns, or much else about it. I’ve put a picture of each bag, open with a sign showing the weight of the bag in a handspun project so you can click on the photo below and see all 13 bags. Some is white, some brown, some mixed colors.
I’d like to sell whole bags at $80/lb including shipping anywhere in the US. If you’re interested in multiple bags, message me and I’d consider a lower price. I need to be rid of it in the next month, so I’ll consider offers.
FS: Antique German Wedding Wheel
I’m continuing my wheel destash. This is a lovely German wedding wheel with distaff and ivory turnings. In addition to the original bobbin, I had three additional bobbins made. Comes with a simple lazy kate, too. These wheels were made as bridal gifts. This wheel has the initials W.M. done in small tacks on the table top, almost certainly the bride’s initials, since she would look at it every time she spun. I’ve named her Wilhelmina Murray, after the heroine in Dracula. She is small and light but spins like a dream. Note: this wheel was made for a petite person. If you are tall and/or have large, heavy feet, you may not find this wheel to be comfortable for you.
