FS: Indian Book Charkha

I’m selling my Indian Book Charkha because I recently acquired a Bosworth Charkha. This charkha was purchased for $150 and was very gently used. I’m asking $135 including shipping to the US (please PM for international).

For the sake of full disclosure, there is a small chip out of the accelerator wheel, some surface level rust on the hinges that I cleaned up when I received the charkha, and a small crack in the wooden block that holds the skeiner arms but these do affect function and all were already there when I received the charkha new. It has all its original bands.

This charkha works, I just prefer the Bosworth, and tools deserved to be used!

It’s a Snyder Reekalf Turkish Spindle, “Fawn”
Weight is approx. 0.8 oz, the arm length is 3.5″ and the shaft length: 6″.

I bought this a while ago. I only used it a few times it worked fine but I don’t prefer spinning from batts and it just sits on the shelf… so I’d like to find someone who would use it.

I’m in DFW area and I would like to sell or trade locally if possible. Asking $200 or equalish value in a combination following items:

The exceptionally fast flyer from schacht.
Bobbin winder
Lots of Silk top (not hankies)

I’m trying to thin some of my supplies. This is a great little lazy kate that folds up and slips into a bag easily when you want to take your wheel and travel! I don’t know the maker of this and there are no markings. It came with a wheel package I purchased. It is in very good condition and I’ve used it only once. Selling for $75.
