FS: Electric Wheel; Small and Portable
Electric Eel Wheel (version 4) with three bobbins. Works well. Oriface hook with glow-in-the-dark octopus handle. Has a bit of a wiggle and makes some noise as it spins (a quirk of the EEWs in general), but nothing that affects the function. Bobbins easily hold four ounces, but would hold more.
It has all its parts, including the user guide and sticker, and is in “just like new” condition.
I sanded down the edges of the hooks to smooth them out, and rearranged them to have offset hooks for better bobbin filling. I also added a felt pad in front to reduce the faint chattering noise.

Used louet S70 from 9/1988- this is an uncommon wheel! Just put a new coat of tung oil on, will leave sealing to the new owner preference. Brand new footman connector and functionality verified. Moderate warp in the wheel but spins fine. Would prefer to sell locally, willing to drive two hours to meet (I’m in indianapolis, in) . Will consider shipping at buyers cost.

This lazy kate is in excellent condition as it’s been used twice in the two and a half years I’ve had it. I’d keep it as it’s awesome, but I currently have 4 lazy kates and it feels like overkill.
This a great LazyKate option in general as it can hold between one and four bobbins.
And you have the option to tension it or not.
As the name suggests, it’s also excellent for travel. You can store all the pieces inside of the main body which latches shut.
And it then folds up into a nice self-contained single piece.
You can see the cherry wood has really aged beautifully.
I will ship it with all the original paperwork and parts.
