I had a weakness for buying lovely spindles at old SOARs, but my rotator cuffs now say not so much on spindling. I’m offering my DT Lendrum spinning wheel for sale. It includes 4 bobbins, lazy kate, and a large and small niddy noddy plus some wool that I have collected. Hello! So i had to have emergency surgery and now i have a lot of bills and more doctors appointments to come. what does a yarn/spinner do in this situation? DESTASH!!

Handmade Padded Spindle Carrying Case - Asking $40 obo

This spindle case is handmade by me! it is extremely padded in order to protect your very precious spindles! it comes with a wristlet strap attached by a keyring (so you can detach it), and a drawstring top with loops to safely secure your spindle inside. With the wristlet you can even keep your fiber in the bottom of the bag as you spin and have the bag hanging on your wrist!

It can fit a spindle up to 12” long and 3.5” wide (the diameter of the circle part) though it won’t fit anything larger than 3.5”. The photos where the bag is closed and the one where you can see straight down with the spindle inside is with my spindle 3.5” wide inside. The case is incredibly durable and well made. i pulled out all the stops when making it so it would last forever! (okay maybe not if a dog ate it but you get the idea!)

I don’t really have a way to do a price comparison since it is one of a kind but if i were to sell it in my etsy shop i would probably ask $50 so I’m pricing it a bit lower than that. Please take a look at all the pictures to see just how awesome it is!

This is a beautiful batt of fiber that i got a while ago and cannot remember exactly what fibers are in it. It was from one of the phat fiber artists (a few years back) and I purchased a larger batt from them because it was so beautiful and soft! it really feels like alpaca with maybe a bit of cashmere (or similar) mixed in. the micron count is extremely low which makes it so soft! trust me you will love this fiber (I’m sad i have to destash it because its so lovely!)

Used and loved but still in excellent shape (only a couple tiny dings) Comes with original stuff: 2 whorls, threading hook, lazy kate, 4 bobbins, carrying strap, and a bunch of instructions and tips. ALSO comes with a slow whorl. I love this wheel but since I got a cherry Matchless, I haven’t used her much. Might as well go to a good home. I am looking for a Babe bulky production wheel, as I need very bulky yarn for rug weaving, but I don’t have a huge budget. I figure the Babe should fill the bill. I have tried to find an Indian Head spinner, but they don’t seem to be in my area.

I am in Ontario Canada, so you would have to be willing to ship (at my expense)

For sale in San Antonio, TX - I don’t want to ship this, but am willing to drive a reasonable distance to meet you for pickup. Will not be available until after 8/20 as I am currently out of town.

I bought this wheel in 2012. It was the shop display model. I think I’ve spun 4-5 4-oz braids on it in all that time. It’s a lovely wheel, I just got sidetracked down the weaving rabbit hole.

Comes with attached Lazy Kate for 4 bobbins, the three original travel bobbins & flyer, orifice hook, a bottle of oil, Woolee Winder and 3 Woolee Winder bobbins, the whorls that came with it originally (not sure what they are).

Selling because I’d like to buy a Spinolution wheel, and this will help pay for it.

ETA: Gosh, I didn’t realize how dirty the treadles are. They will be cleaned! :)
