I’m selling this Blocking Frame for my lace designer friend, Sharon Winsauer. You might know her as the Crazy Lace Lady.

I can’t give you an assembled size but it has twelve 2 foot sections so that you can choose your size and/or shape.
If you are a lace knitter and are tired of pinning your creation to the bed, this is just for you.
The worst problem is shipping. It’s already in a box but when I checked what it would cost from here (midMichigan) to California, it was about $45. I’m happy to ship but could meet someone within about an hour from here (Ithaca, Michigan)

FSOT: Bergthora Spinning wheel
A little over a year ago, I contacted John about making a lateral Quill wheel for me. The result was the Bergthora wheel.
I have tried very hard to love this wheel. She is a great wheel. Apparently, I cannot manage to get my body to work well with a single treadle wheel. So the problem is entirely with me. With that in mind, I would like to sell or trade my Bergthora.
She is a left facing wheel. I have only used the quill, but I do have the flyer and a set of 4 bobbins. I had to switch out the leather strap to the treadle with a bit of macramé cord, and I have been using a poly drive band from another wheel on her. The wheel comes with 4 bands. Also, there is a “care and feeding” PDF that will be emailed to the buyer with payment, or I can print it and send it along in a live exchange.
I would like to get $200 for her. I would also be willing to trade for $200 worth of worsted or heavier Alpaca, Silk or Cotton yarn or processed spinning fiber. I cannot use sheep wool, I will break out. I might be interested in trading for a spindle for part of the cost, or perhaps a frame loom.
She is located in Central Massachusetts (01562). I would prefer not to ship, the costs for that get very expensive very fast. That being said, I am willing to work with someone to deliver/meet in the middle for the cost of a tank of gas within a reasonable distance, no more than two hours.

FS: Off White Wool Roving
Hi,
I have some off white wool roving for sale. I do not know what kind of wool it is, besides it being labeled sheep wool. It has a 6” staple as far as I can tell and is fairly fine. It has minimal vegetable matter. I believe each ball is about 1 to 1.5 pounds. We would like 25 plus shipping per ball and if you get 2, 10% off, 4 or more, 20% off. We have 8 balls currently and can possibly get access to more if there is interest.

FS (Seattle Area): Cooper Normandy Cherry Wheel
For sale is my beloved Cooper Normandy single treadle wheel, purchased in 2002, which has been collecting dust here in Seattle for the last 10 years. Will deliver within a 50-mile radius of the Space Needle, as long as a ferry ride is not involved! Comes with 5 cherry bobbins, 2 orifice hooks, 2 whorls, a spare ball of linen for new drive bands. I’ve kept it in good condition, oiling it every other year or so.
I bought this more because “I wanted to be a spinner and this was a pretty way to start” and not because I was already a spinner. Never really took the time to learn. So I’m not sure about the whorls, what ratios or whatever. One is big and one is small

FS: Betty Roberts wheel
Almost new Betty Roberts wheel for sale. I have wanted one of these for ages and jumped at the chance to buy a new one directly from Betty, but unfortunately it arrived at almost the same time as my Olympic wheel and is not receiving the love it deserves. The Olympic is the spinning love of my life, and I’d like the Betty Roberts wheel to go to a home where she will get a lot more use than she’s getting here. I don’t think I’ve even spun two full bobbins on it.
It is made from gorgeous Catalpa wood, and the inlay is a deep blue. It comes with the original lazy kate and 8 bobbins.
I’d like to get back the $2100 I invested in the wheel if possible. Betty no longer maintains a waiting list, so any new buyers have to take a chance on whether she’s making the model you want when you’re buying. Here’s an opportunity for someone to get a new wheel without the wait.
I would prefer to have someone pick it up here in North Central Ohio, but I’m willing to ship if the buyer will pay the shipping cost.

Destash Raw Fiber - Cheap!

x-FS: Schacht Cherry Matchless 1 year old

I ordered new and received it on 3/30/2015 so I have had it one year. I love it for its versatility, but because I’m using antique saxony wheels 85% of the time, this spends most of the time in the bedroom, and it is just too pretty for that! I’d prefer to find a local buyer, but I do have all original shipping materials. Postage would be pretty pricey as the box is big.
I also just caused damage in our house, so I plan on downgrading to a cheaper wheel so we can pay for drywall repairs. I love this wheel!
The patina has grown beautiful in the 1 year I’ve had it. The treadles have interesting grain, but I like it. The wheel is in the same condition as new. All original accessories are included, medium and fast whorl, threading/orifice hook, hex wrench, original driveband never used, lazy Kate, 4 cherry bobbins, shoulder strap, and instruction manual and original tag. Shipping box too. I’m also including a little Vera Bradley case which makes a nice spinning basket for accessories, and a hand made filament orifice threader. Also, there is an extra maiden screw. He original one wasn’t glued properly so Schacht sent a replacement. They also said I could glue the original, which I did and it works fine.
Also, I cut out sheep skin to put on the treadles. I just set them on and spun one project, and didn’t add straps to hold on better.
I will also be selling accessories separately.
