For sale: My absolutely fabulous Golding spinning wheel;
This stunning piece of art features some of the most amazing figured cherry I’ve ever seen, the wood shimmers in the light, and is just gorgeous! Not only is it beautiful, but it’s an incredible balanced machine that spins smoothly with no vibrations, and is nearly silent. It is in perfect, like new condition, and is only a couple of months old.

True double treadle drive system, easy to treadle with both feet, or only one. Effortless to keep moving due to the machined iron ring around the drive wheel. Every piece on this wheel is dynamically balanced and able to be minutely adjusted for a lifetime of perfect precision spinning.

Easy to switch ratios:
6:1, 8:1, 11:1, 17:1

sealed super high quality bearings on all moving parts, the wheel won’t ever need oil! The carry handle made of quality leather makes this wheel very easy to move around and the low height makes it easy to fit in any car!

Orifice Height 23”
Overall height 25”
Weight 14 Lbs (13 Lbs with flyer head removed)
Footprint 15” x 15”
Wheel Diameter 12”

Has a hidden on board orifice hook and the base has the ability to adjust the height to accommodate different surfaces

Everything shown is included,
Two standard smooth spinning dynamically balanced bobbins with sealed bearings, designed to hold 4oz each
Standard dynamically balanced flier
Jumbo bobbin designed to hold 8oz
Jumbo flier
Extra leather handle (I got an extra with plans to decorate it with leather stamps, I think it’d be gorgeous!)
Extra drive band, scotch brake band and kate brake band, tension springs, and original pamphlet

Mr. Golding custom modified this wheel to create the on board lazy kate and I LOVE to ply with it, it’s super ergonomic and the tension system is very clever indeed. The kate rod is removable and it has extra end plugs to keep your bobbins from sliding off and to protect it in transit.

She was purchased a few months ago in October of 2015 for $1,595 plus $125 shipping.

I am asking $1300

I will pay half the domestic shipping costs -or- travel up to an hour and a half away to meet you (I’m near to the Portland, OR metro area)
