ASKING $200 OBO. MUST SELL - MOVING!

I’ll drive an hour+ to meet you, since it’s quite heavy. I live in Cary, NC, which is close to Raleigh/Durham/Chapel Hill, but am moving very soon.

I purchased this vintage drum carder, I believe to be a Made-Well or Spin-Well, in April of 2016 from a fellow ravelry-er. It has leather cloth with copper teeth and a leather belt which is intact. When I was inquiring about purchasing, I was told “36-47ish TPI” and that may or may not be correct, but it is definitely a course TPI, which is what I wanted for my art batts. It’s in overall excellent condition, but I’m having trouble keeping the leather belt from sliding off when carding chunky amounts of fiber.

The batts I make on this drum carder are fantastic and exactly what I was looking for for my textured art yarns. I have little patience, though, for the slipping belt and as a result it has not been used more than a hand full of times. Someone with more patience than I needs to find the magic adjustment and put this beauty to good use!

Batt picker/lifter included (it’s the one that I was given.)

Provenance -
This drum carder belonged to Mary Egbert of Camaj Fiber Arts before it was sold to Turtletrac, from whom I bought it in April of 2016.
