I have had about 40 wheels go through my house in the last few years. I can’t resist trying them all. Those that I currently own are all great spinners but I’m trying to pare my collection down to an even dozen as 1.) I’m becoming overwhelmed trying to give them all their due attention, 2.) I recently bought a rather expensive 30” Wyatt Pegasus wheel, and 3.) my Carson Cooper Krista is complete and arrives on 12/30!
These wheels are located in East Hampton, CT and are available for pickup only. I am off for winter break now through 1/2 so if anyone wants to take a road trip to give them a test spin, come on over. You can see the other wheels in my collection and meet my animals, too. :-)
Please PM with any questions.
First up: FS A gorgeous, fully loaded 30” cherry, Schacht-Reeves spinning wheel. Comes with the original lazy kate, 3 bobbins, 2 whorls, and orifice hook. Also includes the 3 extra whorls which expands the ratios all the way from 9.5 to 38.5. An extra bonus is a DD woolee winder for her and 4 woolee winder bobbins. Total package new would be $2,473. Asking $1,750.
Next: FS A Lendrum Saxony 28” wheel. These are hard to come by but I have a Watson Kirsten on order so this was chosen to go. Set up for double drive but can be used in scotch tension, too. Comes with 6 bobbins. Asking $1,600.
Last: FS A Vintage Piet v.d. Eijnden double drive spinning wheel (16” drive wheel). Comes with 4 bobbins, distaff, lazy kate, and skein winder. Purchased on Ebay because of it’s unique all-in-one design. Was shipped from Holland. Selling because I can’t use single treadle wheels. Rather than continuing to use it as a decoration, I am offering it up for sale. Asking $350.
Thanks for looking!
